It was really a very interesting conference which provided us with sufficient data concerning SDL trados. The event was really technical and informative. It makes us aware of all details concerning Trados software. Thank so much for this fruitful event.
Excellent, informative event for a wide audience. The talks were evenly spaced at a reasonably fast pace but with intelligible, soft-spoken speakers who kept the listeners/viewers attention all the while. Looking forward to the new, updated products/tools of the trade. Thanks for a swell meeting of the minds. and free at that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
@Thierry - what is the file format you are attempting to translate? Also the format of the TM you have been sent?

@lugoben - the basic function of a CAT tool such as Studio 2014, is you build a databse of your translations (a translation memory), so it can then suggest future repititions of the same words or phrases

oh, one more question - can i use trados if the agency or client doesn't specify a file type? Or if they ask for the translation in word .doc format?

Hello. I'm using Studio 2014 and would like some advice on what to do when the target text fields that I have completed and confirmed don't transfer across to the target file. I then have to cut and paste my translated text from Studio into Word. It doesn't happen often, but it's very inconvenient when it does.

@Thierry - Yes the PPX file is project package that will include the TM, as you complete the project you will update this TM and you will send all progress made back to the customer in the completed project
