Source text - English Anne Frank House - Amsterdam
Since 1960, the Anne Frank House has been a museum. Since the first year of its opening, visitors have flocked from around the world to visit. Visiting this historical monument takes visitors back to an important time that most people know little about. Not only is the house a timeless tribute to Anne, her family, and fellow hiders, but it is a monument to all of those who suffered the perils of the Nazi regime.
The annex of the house, the hidden area of the building which hid Anne and others for several years, is left as intact as possible. Although the furniture has been removed from the area because of the confined space and sheer volume of visitors, the posters and pictures that were posted during hiding are still on the walls. In order to actually reach the annex, visitors must pass through a bookcase which hid the door to the secret section of the house and climb several stairs. The museum also boasts the original diary under glass casing and several videos of people who knew the Franks.

La Casa de Ana Frank comenzó a funcionar como museo en 1960. Desde el primer año de su inauguración, turistas de todas partes del mundo no dejaron de pasar por este lugar. Visitar este monumento histórico lleva a las personas a un período importante sobre el que la mayoría poco conoce. La casa no sólo es un eterno homenaje a Ana, su familia y las personas que los ayudaron a esconderse, sino un monumento a todos aquellos que sufrieron el peligro de ser atrapados por el régimen Nazi.
El anexo de la casa, la parte secreta del lugar que ocultó a Ana y a otros durante varios años, se mantiene lo más intacto posible. A pesar de que se han quitado los muebles de dicha parte debido al espacio reducido y a la cantidad de turistas que vienen día tras día, los afiches y los dibujos que se colgaron mientras estaban refugiados siguen sobre la pared. Para llegar al anexo, las personas deben pasar a través de una biblioteca que oculta la puerta que conduce a la sección secreta de la casa y subir varias escaleras. El museo además posee el diario original resguardado en una caja de cristal y varios videos de personas que conocían a los Frank.
