Source text - English Our analysts use a quantitative tool, XXX, to assist in the early identification of changes in default risk. This tool uses a Merton style option-pricing model to assess the probability a company will default based on the value of its assets and the composition of its debt profile and liquidity position to daily create a probability of default (known as an Expected Default Probability or EdF) based on a one year time horizon. These probabilities are automatically downloaded into internal systems, and defined changes (known as ‘triggers’) force the analyst to undertake a full review of the company. This enables us to be more resource-efficient, giving us an edge in understanding where the risks are changing whilst having a more forward looking approach to the monitoring of the issuers we have invested in.
In summary, analysts focus on establishing long-term views on issuers, sectors, ratings and countries, while making shorter-term relative value calls across the capital structure in search of consistently delivering alpha across the investible universe. These views are expressed as signals in our proprietary Investment Opinion Network (“ION”). ION is used to store, organise and communicate our research and the subsequent investment decisions made by the Fixed Income teams across the globe.

Source text - English A Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (“WFOE”) is the most popular choice for foreign companies doing business in China in many activities. It is a Chinese limited liability company formed under the laws of China and financed with 100% foreign capital and is completely under the control of the foreign investor.
The minimum registered capital, which has to be paid up within 24 months from the obtaining of the bureau license in accordance with regulations, varies depending on the industry, city, and place where the WFOE is registered and also on the business nature of the WFOE and can be significantly higher for certain heavily regulated industries. The registered capital can be paid up with a combination of equipment and cash. A minimum of 15% of registered capital initially must be deposited in cash from the parent company into the WFOE’s capital bank account within 90 calendar days from the date of issue of the business license and the balance of the registered capital is contributed within the following 21 months.

Source text - English The Wealth Management area of the Bank is referred to as Private Client Services and includes: Personal Trust, Institutional Trust, Asset Management, Investment Advisory Services, Broker-Dealing Services and Private Banking.
The divisions within Private Client Services operated as separate lines of business. Management wanted each to demonstrate a level of cooperation that would increase cross-selling opportunities within Wealth Management and ultimately across the bank’s consumer/commercial platform to increase the share of wallet and market from each consumer or prospect.
Our engagement focused on fee schedules, exceptions, cross-selling opportunities, metrics for existing performance and incentive performance, and behavioural data in terms of customer satisfaction and employee ownership of problem solving and product promotion.
We offered a variety of strategic initiatives for short, intermediate, and long-term implementation. These strategies provided a first year annual value of US$1 Million. These initiatives were priced to the Bank on a fixed fee basis.
We were able to offer tactical initiatives which, when fully implemented for a full calendar year, provide an annual value of US$4.2 Million. These initiatives were priced on a contingency basis.
