Checked with the cafe, and they're not kosher. We'll have to find another one, I guess.
Charlila Local time: 09:56 English to Hebrew בעצם, למה הדיון הזה מתנהל באנגלית? | Nov 27, 2006 |
do you find it more kosher?
it's just parveh! | | |
Charlila

Is the time set to the 21st?
And the hour? | | |
Time and venue | Dec 1, 2006 |
Time: I suggest 7-7:30pm – late enough to miss the worst of the Ayalon rush hour, early enough to finish before the onslaught of late evening revellers and for everyone to get home.
As for venue: I'm waiting for someone to suggest a suitably kosher and hospitable venue. 26 Mark Elliott Shapiro - since you raised this issue, perhaps you could suggest one, near Rakevet Tsafon? Thanks
A new suggestion for venue | Dec 2, 2006 |
I've spent this weekend in that area, and have a great idea: one of the coffee shops in the Bursah Business Area - there's a pedestrian bridge from the railway station, over Ayalon Hwy, straight into that area.
I recommend: Lehem Erez.

Yes I was thinking of that area too but I don't know the names of establishments.לחם ארז isn't that a bakery? it is within a walking distance from the Rw. station. Now we have to solve the timetable. Remember we need at least 1.5 hours to get to the RW station, so the earlier the better. We don't want to miss the last train. Happened to me before. The taxi cost me a fortune.
Going for the Bursah complex is a good idea – there are lots of places around there. Is Lehem Eretz big enough, though? I'm out of the country at this time, so need locals to advise.

IF AND WHEN THE MEET TAKES PLACE, AS i HOPE IT WILL, I THINK APOINT ON THE AGENDA SHOULD BE NETWORKING BETWEEN LOCAL PROZ-ERS.( FOR EXAMPLE, I NEED SOMEONE NOW TO HELP SHARE A GERMAN ENGLISH LEGAL TRANSLATION AND I WOULD PREFER A LOCAL).
i WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SE DISCUSSED; PROBLEMS IN WORKING WITH EAST EUROPEAN AGENCIES AND OUTSOURCERS (tHO MORE IMPORTANT FOR NON-HEBREW TRANSLATORS) AND THE EFFECT OF THE CURRENCY CHANGES ON OUR RATES.

You might consider working with a native speaker of English rather than German. I know someone: e-mail me: braton@netvision.net.il
