Bio

I am not currently translating.

Born in Scotland, and a native English speaker, I have been speaking Italian for coming up to 20 years and French for 30. Having obtained a good degree in French and Italian at university, I have spoken and used my languages every day in my career in travel and tourism. I have spent time living in both countries including two years spent in Rome working in television.

In 2012 I took and passed the Chartered Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation from Italian to English.

I specialise in tourism and travel and have special interest (and knowledge) in renewable energy, education and music as well as more commercial fields.
