Bu bildiri, toplumun sosyal ve ekonomik yapısının göstergelerinden biri olan ve yasalarımızda da suç davranışı olarak değerlendirilen ve çeşitli psikolojik, sosyolojik, ekonomik ve kültürel faktörlerin etkisiyle ortaya çıkan intihar davranışının Türkiye boyutunu analiz etmek, mevcut durumu ortaya koymak ve intihar olaylarının nedenlerinde hangi değişkenlerin (cinsiyet, medeni durum, eğitim durumu, coğrafi bölge, bakmakla yükümlü olduğu kişililer, iş/meslek, yaş) istatistiksel olarak daha etkin olduğunu tespit etmek amacını taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle verilerin analizinde frekans tablolarına, çapraz tablolara, ki-kare analizine ve Multinominal Lojistik Regresyon analizine yer verilmiştir. Veriler Devlet İstatistik Enstitüsü Adalet İstatistikleri Şubesinin 2003 yılı “intihar veri tabanı” dikkate alınarak oluşturulmuştur. Toplam 2705 veri analize tabi tutulmuş ve verilerinin analiz edilmesinde SPSS programı ile birlikte Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi (GIS) kullanılmıştır.
The aim of this paper is to analyse and display the present state of suicidal behaviours in Turkey, which are deemed to be crime according to Turkish law, indicators of the society’s social and economic structure and which appear as a result of various psychological, sociological, economic and cultural factors; and besides to determine which variants (gender, marital status, educational status, geographical position, legal dependents, job/occupation, age) are statistically shown to affect the likelihood of suicidal incidents. In this work, there are frequency tables, cross tabulation, Chi-square analysis and Multinomial Logistic Regression analysis. The data has been collected by the State Institute of Statistics, Department of Justice Statistics and has been developed taking 2003 “suicidal database” into consideration. 2705 pieces of data have been observed in total and SPSS program together with Geographical Information System (GIS) have been employed in database analysis.
