As the localization industry continues its breakneck ramp-up, what meanwhile
masquerades as translation is sometimes downright frightening: all the editorial
crimes committed in the name of so-called accuracy! So, I am sticking to what I
know best: how to write, and get your message across in an English that speaks with
fluidity, clarity and style. I am an independent business and non-fiction translator
working from French and German into English. I am also a recent graduate (2021) of the Masters in Translation program at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Translation and Interpretation. Drawing from my initial training
as a journalist, I approach translation first and foremost as a writing task. A
translation needs to be well written and on-message to communicate effectively.
