Since graduating with a degree in French and Russian, I have always worked with languages in a variety of fields. My focus gradually turned to translation and literature and I gained the CIoL Diploma in Translation, with a distinction in the literature paper, and an MA in Translation Studies, as part of which I wrote a dissertation on the translation of contemporary children's literature. I have worked as a freelance translator since 2009, and specialise in the translation of literary, religious and music-related texts as well as fiction editing and writing.
When I am not working I enjoy playing the violin, exploring the beautiful British countryside, losing myself in books, and of course... learning new languages. |
