I have a Masters in Education from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington, USA and have taught ESL and Special Education in Canadian public schools and English to adults at a govt. Vocational School in Canada.
I have studied Hindi all through school and college and can now bring all my interests together via translations from Hindi to English and vice versa. I have worked with Visual Data Media Services for three years translating, editing and proofreading in subjects as varied as psychiatric interviews and biotechnology. I have also QCed for their subtitling of Sony movies.
I have translated their website for Sufi Psychology Institute in Sacramento, CA for 4 consecutive years. I have also worked with Avant Assessment in developing assessment tests for language learners at different levels. This involved sourcing Hindi audio files and translating them into English so the Item Developer could judge the appropriateness of the audio for tests.
For the past three years I have started doing Hindi voice over for clinical trials of drug companies like Merck, Biogen, Amgen etc. via ALMAC.
Recently I started interpreting for medical visits at Sacramento, CA.
