Bio
I specialise in translation of legal, academic and literary material. Experience in ministerial briefings and the drafting of legislation in the Australian Public Service ensures that legal translations are both accurate and meaningful in their context. My subsequent career as an academic ensures that translations of literature, academic and educational material is sensitive to the original, while producing a result that is attractive to the reader in the target language. I also have a background in Mathematics and Geology and have produced translations in these fields, including translations of mining business plans and contruction regulations with the appropriate register and idioms.

Planning on expanding your business to Australia or thinking of migrating? Australian government agencies will require translations of documentation, whether personal documents, such as birth certificates, or business documents, such as articles of incorporation, that have been made by a translator certified by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). I am a NAATI certified translator from Russian into English and German into English. My translations will satisfy the requirements of Australlian government organisations for businesses and individuals, including the Australian Taxation Office and the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

Prices quoted on the site are only a guideline and are subject to negotiation, depending on the nature of the subject material. I use Wordfast and CafeTran and can accept TM, TMX and SDLRPPX glossaries and translation memories. In addition to Microsoft Office I am also able to use Latex and its derivatives in preparation of camera-ready copy.

One of my hobbies is fencing and I have provided language support to major fencing competitions in the UK and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
