Bio
I have been a translator and interpreter for over 15 years. My native language is Spanish from Mexico, but I can translate to and from American and British English, and Latin American Spanish. Most of my experience is in Healthcare, Finance, Legal, and Marketing, after working as an interpreter in hospitals and in the banking industry in HSBC Mexico for five years. Currently I am working as a freelance translator, interpreter (simultaneous and consecutive), and editor for several companies in the Finance, Legal, Healthcare, and Marketing sector. I also worked as a translation and interpretation teacher in the Legal, Medical, Translation Theory, and Finance areas at two university. In addition, I taught 10-week diploma courses, training indigenous people to become legal interpreters in Spanish and their respective language in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas; Campeche, Campeche; San Luis Potosí, SLP; and Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico.
