I am a British translator, translating from German into my native tongue, English. I hold a BA (Hons) German, Russian and Political Studies.

I have a 9-year banking career behind me. I worked in personal, business & corporate banking and specialised in payments and cash management and international and domestic electronic banking. I am an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Bankers, by examination, and hold a BSc in Banking & Finance.

My translation experience is varied and covers legal documents and correspondence including witness examinations, European trade marks, ministerial agreements, reports and correspondence, business and employment contracts, business and financial correspondence, general terms and conditions, financial statements and accounts, insurance documents and correspondence, websites and marketing material, catalogues, and certified translations (wedding, birth, death, degree, divorce, professional certificates and certificates of good standing), C.V.s, company questionnaires, policies and PowerPoint presentations.

I also have experience of translating from Austrian German and into American English and have recently started using Trados Studio 2019.

Furthermore, I have trained to teach German, French and Spanish at secondary level, and experience in teaching (children and adults). I also have experience of small business management (including sales, branch, line management and HR), finance (accounts, lending, card processing, payments & cash management, BACS system, electronic banking, global banking/liquidity management), factoring, invoice/sales finance, sales/business development, poultry and waterfowl care and breeding, and other animal care (general pets and llamas), dog grooming, travel, arts and crafts, photography. I have been the Treasurer of the British Llama Society and sat on the Board of Directors.
