I am a professional freelance interpreter and translator based in London with 5 years of experience. My mother tongue is Chinese and I work into and out from English. I am a native speaker of both Cantonese and Mandarin and literate in Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese with good command of English.

The translation jobs I accomplished are mainly press release, tourism, business, IT, telecommunication, manual and software. I also do audiovisual translation job for advertisments, films, drama, TV shows, interviews and documentaries. In interperting, my expertises lie in conference interpreting and simultaneous interpreting in the fields of academic, aviation, business, funeral (medical, chemistry and materials), management and tourism. My long-term clients include Nokia Siemens Network, Hotel Penisula, various departments of Macau government and some Europe-based software companies.

I have a special interest and a concrete in-house translation experience in the field of mass media and PR. In 2007, I dedicated my service to the Venetian Macao Ltd. as a production coordinator. I was responsible for delivering promotional materials and company archives in a communicative manner to global clients including the BBC, National Geographic and Discover Channel. My tasks invloved transcribing, translating, editing, proofreading and presenting videos and paper works. Back in 2005, I worked for the media centre of the 4th East Asian Games. During which I translated news for its official webpage and provided SI for press conferences, athletes interviews and prize presentation ceremonies. My interpreting career started from my university years. I was engaged in hospitality and escort services, providing CI and liaison interpreting for a considerate number of important events organised by Macau Polytechnic Institute, China Daily and 21st Century. Furthermore, I was a journalist, translator and editor for the campus journal of my university for 3 years.
