I have been serving the academic and business communities with accurate, polished Japanese to English transcreated documents for over 20 years now. I began my career journey in 1998 at Gakugei Company in Osaka, Japan, where I was tasked with bridging the cultural and linguistic gap between Japanese and English. My responsibilities included translating the company’s software products into English pursuant to introduction into the U.S. and other English-speaking markets, and interpreting for co-workers and management at overseas trade shows. While working at Gakugei, I also self-studied for the rigorous Japanese Language Proficiency Test-Level 1, passing it on my first attempt.

I went independent and relocated to the U.S. in 2002. My current workload consists largely of academic papers in the social sciences, particularly education, psychology, and sociology, but I also have a strong working knowledge of the legal, business and finance fields. I am also currently independently studying botany - an area of personal interest - with the hope of taking on more assignments in this area.

I take great pride in producing writing that reads as if it were originally written in English. I believe that it is this reader-oriented approach to my work that sets me apart and has afforded me such a long and rewarding career.
