Source text - English The acute postoperative phase lasts from the first to seventh day after your liver transplantation. You will be in hospital during the whole phase. X2 will be administered intravenously once a day during this phase. You will be asked to provide blood and urine samples every day for urine tests and for hematological and biochemical blood tests, as well as for the determination of markers of re-infection and protection against hepatitis B (antibodies). You will be asked to provide 4 extra blood samples for the measurement of anti-hepatitis B antibody blood levels, to ensure that protective levels of X2 have been injected. If your antibody level is not high enough, you will given an extra injection of X2. The additional injection will be equivalent to about 3 teaspoons.
Translation - Italian La fase postoperatoria acuta dura dal primo al settimo giorno dopo il trapianto di fegato. Durante l’intera fase lei sarà in ospedale. Durante questa fase l’X2 sarà somministrato per via endovenosa una volta al giorno. Le sarà chiesto di fornire campioni del sangue e delle urine ogni giorno per gli esami delle urine e per esami del sangue ematologici e biochimici, nonché per la determinazione di marcatori di re-infezione e protezione contro l’epatite B (anticorpi). Le sarà chiesto di fornire 4 campioni di sangue supplementare per la misurazione dei livelli nel sangue degli anticori anti-epatite B, per assicurarsi che siano stati iniettati livelli protettivi di X2. Source text - English XYZ is a system for delivering drugs directly through the lining of the mouth. Each XYZ unit consists of a white solid medication attached to a handle. The unit contains either 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200 or 1600 micrograms of the active ingredient ABC. The dosage strength is marked on the white medication, on the handle, and on the blister package, to ensure that you are taking the right medicine. Each blister package contains one individual XYZ unit, supplied in cartons of 3 or 30 individual XYZ units.
Translation - Italian XYZ è un sistema per somministrare medicinale direttamente attraverso il rivestimento della bocca. Ogni unità di XYZ è costituita da un medicinale in forma solida di colore bianco fissato a un bastoncino. L’unità contiene 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200 o 1600 microgrammi del principio attivo ABC. Source text - German Das System dient zur Abnahme von Evozierten Potentialen und Elektromyographischen Signalen am gesamten menschlichen Körper.
Das Gerät ist für den Dauerbetrieb ausgelegt.
Das XYZ System kann in jeder Umgebung die eine ausreichende Spannungsversorgung und Erdung hat betrieben werden.
Es darf nur das vom Hersteller genehmigte Zubehör verwendet werden.
Als Anwender dürfen nur jene Personen tätig werden, die im Neurologischen Bereich für die vorgesehene Tätigkeit ausreichend medizinisch geschult und vom Hersteller oder seinem autorisierten Vertreter ausreichend am System geschult worden sind (im Einschulungsprotokoll dokumentiert) und zumindest die sicherheitsrelevanten Teile des Bedienungshandbuches vollständig durchgearbeitet und zur Kenntnis genommen haben
Zur Stimulation empfohlenes Zubehör:
Bipolar Feld pad Elektrode mit DIN Konnektor bzw. Einmal Klebeelektroden Silber/Silber chlorid mit max. Durchmesser von 3 cm und mit DIN Konnektor.
Ein Patient mit einem implantierten elektrischen Gerät ( z.B. einen Herzschrittmacher) sollte keiner elektrischen Stimulation unterzogen werden, bevor nicht die Stellungnahme eines Fachmediziners eingezogen wurde.

Accessori consigilati per la stimolazione:
Elettrodi a placchetta a campo bipolare con connettore DIN o elettrodi adesivi monouso argento / cloruro di argento con diametro massimo di 3 cm e con connettore DIN.
I pazienti portatori di un apparecchio elettrico impiantato (p.e. un pacemaker) non devono venire sottoposti a stimolazione elettrica senza prima aver consultato un medico specialista.

I am a freelance translator, I’ve been translating from German and English into Italian since 1997.
After graduating at the Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori ‘Sivlio Pellico’ in Milan, I completed a training period as in-house translator for a translation agency in Milan.
After the training period I started my activity as freelance translator, working mainly for agencies, but also for direct clients.
From 2001 to 2002 I worked as in-house freelance translator for a translation agency specialized in the automotive field (maintenance and repair manuals).
In 2002 I started a collaboration with a translation agency of Milan for the translation of technical and scientific patents.
I’ve been translating medical texts since 2005.
Since 2006 I've been translating mainly:
patents in the medical and pharmacological field, and in particular: cardiac stents, active ingredients for new drugs, immunology, genetic engineering, surgical devices; clinical trials; informed consents; IFU for medical and surgical devices.
I have a private office at home and I am available at normal working hours.
