My primary language pair is Spanish-English, with a focus on
translation and communication in both directions. I studied at the Pontificia
Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, where I delved into modern
languages, fostering a strong linguistic and cultural foundation. From an early
age, my interest in languages was influenced by my sister, who, being 21 years
older than me, married an American, exposing me to English since childhood. In addition to my professional pursuits as a translator, I am passionate about using my language skills to contribute positively to society. One way I do this is by engaging in pro bono work to assist those in need, particularly in marginalized communities. My motivation for pursuing a career as a professional translator stems from my belief in the power of communication to break down barriers and foster understanding across cultures.
I am committed to providing accurate and culturally sensitive translations that
facilitate effective communication between individuals and organizations,
ultimately contributing to mutual understanding and collaboration. As I continue to develop my career, I am dedicated to upholding the principles of language justice, ensuring equitable access to information and resources for all individuals, regardless of their linguistic background. I am driven by a desire to make a positive impact through my work, and I am committed to delivering high-quality language services that meet the diverse needs of my clients. |
