Hello! I am a Jordanian translator and consecutive interpreter, living in Sweden since 2019. I am passionate about languages, with a flair for writing and an interest in intercultural communication. My qualities as a translator and interpreter are enhanced by my background working for cultural institutions and living in different countries (Jordan, France, Lebanon, Sweden). I am a United Nations vetted translator. I have a broad experience translating a variety of subjects, from reports on the SDG’s and the state of the judiciary in Syria to Swedish cooking recipes, from business and tourist leaflets, to subtitling short films on road safety to Swedish elections. I graduated (masters) with honours from the Beirut's School of Interpreters and Translators (Saint Joseph University), and trained at the offices of ESCWA and UNRWA. I have translated for MSF, UN-ESCWA, ILAC, the Swedish Institute and other Swedish agencies, among other. In 2020/2021, I was contracted to translate the entire material related to the Swedish pavilion at Dubai Expo. My current endeavour is learning Swedish. |
