Aleksandra Wojtaszek, Ph.D., is a balkanist, works as a journalist,
translator, and lecturer at Jagiellonian University. She studied in Krakow,
Zagreb and Belgrad. She published reports, interviews, review, scientific
texts, essays and translations in e.g.Tygodnik Powszechny, Herito, Ha!art, Porównania
Duży Format, New Eastern Europe, Krytyka Polityczna, Ubiq, Književna
revija and a journal Večernji list. She is a translator
and interpreter from Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian. With the biggest pleasure, she works on contemporary prose, e.g. writers as Faruk Šehić, Josip Mlakić or Zoran
Ferić.
She has great experience in interpreting, she cooperates with many Polish, Croatian and Serbian companies and individual clients (Krakowskie Biuro Festiwalowe, Track Tec, Europejski Kongres Samorządowców and many others). She interprets simultaneously and consecutively, in-person and online, meetings, business, cultural and political events.
Poljakinja sam, poljski mi je materini jezik. Završila sam doktorski studij u Poljskoj iz hrvatske i srpske književnosti, no dvije godine sam također studirala u Zagrebu te jedan semestar u Beogradu. Imam veliko iskustvo u pismenom i usmenom prevođenju. Najrađe prevodim usmeno - uživo i onlajn, preko telefona - sastanke, primopredaje, poslovne, kulturne i političke susrete. Radim također kao novinarka te na fakultetu gdje podučavam hrvatski jezik i kulturu.
