Un protocole d'accord (MOU) entre les gouvernements du Burundi, de la RCA, de la RDC et de l'Ouganda et un protocole de coopération entre la Communauté économique des États de l'Afrique centrale (CEEAC) et la Communauté de l'Afrique de l'Est (CAE) ont été signés pour superviser conjointement l'étude et la mise en œuvre des infrastructures de transport, la facilitation du transport et les activités de transit sur le corridor Bangui-Kisangani - Kampala et Kisangani-Bujumbura. The Parties further agreed to set up in the study and implementation phases, a Joint Technical Committee (JTC) composed of representatives of the four countries and the two communities, as well as representatives of CEMAC and the Northern Corridor Transit Transport Coordination Authority (ACTT-CN), and a Corridor Management Committee (CMC) in the operation phase. They also agreed to entrust ECCAS with the role of overall coordination and executing body for the studies, with the assistance of the EAC. The project management shall be ensured by the Parties, with the support of the ECCAS General Secretariat and the EAC Secretariat.
