With a bachelor degree in Literature and a master degree in business management, Chunyan has an education that combines her literary qualities with her business sensibilities. Interested in the promotion of cultural and social projects at a European and international level, Chunyan NIU was involved in the fundraising and communication activities through her professional experiences. Working at the headquarter of the Manifesta Foundation in Amsterdam, she participated in the fundraising of the city-wide biennial that was to take place in Marseille in 2020. During this time, Chunyan NIU took part in an extensive range of activities including prospecting, proposals, negotiations, budgeting, contracting and organization of events. Together with the head of the business development department, chunyan was in close contact with national (French) and international cultural institutions, universities and enterprises, such as European Cultural Foundation, Université Aix Marseille, IFA Foundation, Outset, Fondation de France, Dutch Embassy in France, Chanel, among others. During her internship in Centre Pompidou, chunyan NIU was the research and coordination assistant for the Cosmopolis project. She has also work experiences in art galleries and art fairs in Paris that allowed her to have a profound understanding of the arts industry and a reflexion on the relation between art and social transformation. Thanks to these experiences, Chunyan has enriched her knowledge in the aspects of strategic partnerships, communications and operation management. Chunyan is also a freelance writer for The Art Newspaper and was a journalist at Cannes Film Festival 2018. |
