My name is Bernard. I have a passion for languages dating back to my years in primary school. Back then I used to solve crossword puzzles and participate in dictation competitions. I also composed and recited poems for the school team!
I took this passion to college where I studied a new language, French.
My interest in Swahili began back in high school, and by my second year in university, I was already picking up freelance translation jobs. I have never looked back since then.
I have been a freelance translator since 2011, and from January 2016 until the end of February 2019, I was the in-house Swahili translator for East African Language Solutions, as well as their senior project manager.
With this project management background, I believe I am in a better position to be proactive in anticipating any client concerns arising from translation and offer sustainable solutions.
