I am a French - Dutch and English - Dutch translator working from the south of France. I was born and raised in the Netherlands. In 2016 I decided to follow my dream to live in France. I have worked in mainly tourism as a tour guide, enquêtrice and in a call center, where I gained a lot of experience in working with customers. I translate in tourism, but also in other fields such as environment, ecology, marketing, nutrition, cooking, education, pedagogy, anthropology and linguistics. My goal is to never stop learning and I am open to new suggestions. I also have experience in translation of website texts, news articles, business correspondence, technical manuals or user guides and medical manuals (general).
My time outside of work I like to spend doing yoga, cooking or learning - for example about subjects related to linguistics and currently I am looking forward to do a course of Latin which I remember enjoying a lot in high school.
My rate per word is between 0.08 and 0.12 cents, depending on multiple factors such as deadline, the level of expertise required and the amount of words. I will ask you for payment by bank transfer within 30 days after delivery of the translation.
I translate French and English documents into Dutch, but I also rewrite and proofread Dutch texts. The difference between rewriting or editing and proofreading is not always clear. Which of the two is needed depends mostly on the quality of the text. The difference is that for proofreading no source text is necessary. My hourly rate is 35 euro.
