My name is Milena Ostojic and I
am from Montenegro. I have been working as a senior advisor and a translator in
a public institution since 2013. However, I have been translating since my
undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Philology, the University of Belgrade
(since 2004).
I have a BA degree in English
language and literature (earned at the Faculty of Philology, the University of
Belgrade) and a MA degree in European Politics (earned at the University of
Portsmouth, United Kingdom). I was awarded Chevening scholarship by the UK
Government for postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom (generation
2016/2017).
After my undergraduate studies,
in 2012, I attended and successfully
completed a one-year translation course in the following fields:
Economics, Law, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil
Engineering and Socio-political Systems. This
course was organized by the Association of Scientific and Technical Translators
of Serbia (Belgrade). In 2013, I attended and successfully completed a five-month translation course in
the following fields: Law, Economics, Banking and Finance, Politics, Ecology
and Environmental Protection,
Marketing and Communication. This Course was organized by Master Translation
Language School in Belgrade, Serbia. In addition, in 2015, I attended and
successfully completed a two-month intensive legal translation course organized
by the same Language School.
In November 2020, I became a
sworn court translator appointed by the decision of the Minister of Justice of
Montenegro.
I love my job and I am truly
devoted to all kinds of tasks I perform. I always respect set deadlines.
