Bio
I was always
interested in foreign languages and cultures. When you read something that hasn’t
been written in your native language and is considered to be unique or represent
some idea from a different perspective than you used to look at it, this enriches
your knowledge about the surrounding world and widens your horizons, thus,
giving you food for thought. I graduated from the Linguistics University in
Nizhny Novgorod and have a diploma of a linguist. I enjoy reading variety of
articles in English (sometimes in German when it is possible) including news,
history, culture, business and law. I have professional translation experience
in such fields as: IT, contracts, private papers and business; lately
I have received training in subtitle translation and worked as a Quality Checker
of subtitle translation and as a Subtitle Translator as well. Additionally I
provide translation services in general engineering (manuals), general medicine
(certificates), law, social sciences, news articles and history. However, I should
say that I started my higher education as a student of Volga State Academy of Water
Transport at the faculty of Navigation. I wish I could further progress and
develop in Linguistics and acquire new knowledge and skills. By translation I imply
a creative and exploratory activity.
