Translation - English History attests that slave trade was very lucrative and profitable to the Europeans and the Arabs come to Africa. Next to Arabs, first, the Portuguese from (Europe) Portugal and then the Dutch, French and the British followed. The main reinforcing factor for this slave trade (cheap labor) was the newly discovered lands such the South, Central and North American, the Caribbean as well. At that time, African tribes and kingdoms were waging war against each other to take captives and sell them to the above mentioned countries’ agents. As a result, the first African slaves had arrived at Haiti in 1502. Up until mid 1800s, most of European nations had considered as an illegal enterprise and passed an objection against slavery. In the mean time, millions of Africans were sold, and the repercussion still being felt in Africa, Europe and America.
