Bio
My name is Athina Mellidou and I am a native Greek freelance translator. I starting working as a freelancer in 2014, simultaneously working as a translation project manager, but have gone back to full time translating since 2020. Companies that I have worked with as a PM include Amplexor, Berlin (more info on CV), Intertranslations, Athens. I have also worked as an in-house translator and project manager for companies in Greece and Ireland (internships - more info on CV).
Education:
I graduated from the Ionian University - Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting, with my main working languages being Greek, English and German. I also attended courses as an international student in LMU in Munich, DCU in Dublin, and FTSK Germersheim.
I have a Postgraduate Degree in Specialized Translation from the University of KU Leuven, focusing on Translation Technologies, Audiovisual Translation, Website and Software Localization.
Rates are negotiable and can vary according to length, complexity of text and deadline.
