Bio

A former legal assistant with almost 15 years’ experience in international law and consulting firms, I have recently started my own business in a field that was part of my education and my ongoing career — translations.

My solid training in the field of specialty languages, with a focus on English and French for the legal and business professions, always helped to draft, edit and translate technical documents throughout my years in White Collar law firms.

Now that same know-how and experience, both factual and technical, are the backbone of my new venture — a service providing legal and business translations (from/into Italian, English and French), editing, proofreading and ghostwriting.

My familiarity with my clients’ working practices, procedures and documents facilitates my understanding of their business needs. This is why I offer three different levels of service for translations, with a varied price structure that is cost-effective and maximizes value for clients, by billing them only for what they need.

My business, though small, thinks human. Only a careful human hand can avoid translation disasters. I personally translate every document, with only very limited recourse to CAT (Computer Aided Translation), and only for research and glossary-building purposes. This saves time and money when working on documents with repetitive text and optimizes delivery deadlines and consistency in target documents.

It is tech-savvy, providing clients with multiple ways to reach me — mobile, email and Skype. Time difference enables me to be operative long after close of business in Europe.

It is responsive, guaranteeing a quick feedback to enquiries, with a free estimate within one hour of the request, when received within EST regular office hours (i.e. +5 hours for London and +6 for Milan/Rome).

It shares the same values and principles as my clients’: confidentiality, reliability and transparency — the terms of service and my fees will always be without surprises.

It is also client-oriented — I will work to accommodate my clients’ deadlines, in a way that doesn’t impact the quality of my work. I will be glad to negotiate a fee structure that rewards long-term collaborations and high-volume jobs with reduced rates. Volume discounts are also available for firms that trust me to be their main service provider for translation and editing services.

Thank you for your business!
