Source text - Japanese 当連結会計年度におけるわが国経済は、好調な新興国経済に支えられ、輸出主導で回復傾向にあったものの、 夏以降の急激な円高の進行や高失業率などの影響で足踏み状態が続きました。また、世界経済は、全体として回 復してきているものの、その回復は緩やかなものでありました。
Translation - English For the current consolidated fiscal year, Japanese economy tended to recover due primarily to export by favorable economy in developing countries. However, due to such factors as high unemployment rate and sudden yen appreciation since summer, the economy was at a standstill. In addition, the overall world economy has been recovering, yet at a slower pace.

After receiving MBA with concentration on finance and accounting, I worked as credit analyst and loan officer at Japanese banks over ten years in New York. During those years, I also had an opportunity to translate Japanese to English vice versa and reviewed others' financial translation works as a checker. Currently I work as an editor and translator (economics/business/finance/legal), as well as an interpreter(hospital/court/business/government)(specific subject interpreting such as deposition is USD 70/hour+) .
