Displacement hull powerboats—Locate amidships near the centerline. The starboard side of the hull where the propeller blades are moving downward is preferred.
Planing hull powerboats—Mount well aft, on or near the centerline, and well inboard of the first set of lifting strakes to insure that the multisensor will be in contact with the water at high speeds. The starboard side of the hull where the propeller blades are moving downward is preferred.
Outboard and I/O—Mount just forward of the engine(s).
Inboard—Mount well ahead of the propeller(s) and shaft(s).
Stepped hull—Mount just ahead of the first step.
Boat capable of speeds above 25 kn (29 MPH)—Review the installation location and operating results of similar boats before proceeding.
Fin keel sailboats—Mount on or near the centerline and forward of the fin keel 300 – 600 mm (1– 2').
Full keel sailboats—Locate amidships and away from the keel at the point of minimum deadrise.

For radio communications, the antenna is of critical importance, along with output power and receiver sensitivity. Select a well-matched 50 ø antenna and coaxial cable feedline. We recommend 1.5:1 or better of Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) on your operating bands. The transmission line should be a coaxial cable.
When using a single antenna (for the HF, 50/70 MHz bands), use the [ANT1] connector.
CAUTION: Protect your transceiver from lightning by using a lightning arrestor.

Pour les communications radio, l'antenne est d'une importance critique, au même titre que la puissance d'émission et la sensibilité du récepteur. Sélectionner une antenne 50 ø et un câble coaxial correctement accordés. Un rapport de voltage d'onde permanente (VSWR) de 1,5 :1 sur les bandes de trafic utilisées, est recommandé. La ligne d'émission doit être un câble coaxial.
