Source text - English 1. NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL PROPERTY TAX BILL. California property tax law requires the Assessor to revalue real property at the time the ownership of the property changes. Because of this law, you may receive one or two supplemental tax bills, depending on when your loan closes. The supplemental tax bills are not mailed to your Lender. If you have arranged for your property tax payments to be paid through an impound account, the supplemental tax bills will not be paid by your Lender. It is your responsibility to pay these supplemental bills directly to the Tax Collector. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please call your local Tax Collector’s Office.
2. DATABASE REGARDING REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS.
Notice: Pursuant to Section 290.46 of the California Penal Code, information about specified registered sex offenders is made available to the public via an Internet Web site maintained by the Department of Justice at www.meganslaw.ca.gov. Depending on an offender’s criminal history, this information will include either the address at which the offender resides or the community of residences and ZIP Code in which he or she resides.
Prior to the purchase of a home in the Project, Buyer may research the database to determine whether there are sex offenders in the area. Seller makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the presence or absence of registered sex offenders within the Project or in the surrounding area. Seller has no obligation or duty to investigate existing residents or buyers to determine whether they are sex offenders. Buyer is solely responsible for making his or her own investigation. For further information, please contact Buyer’s local law enforcement agency. Most law enforcement agencies have special stations to view the Megan’s Law database.

English to Chinese: Sample 1 Water Project (English-Chinese) General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Energy / Power Generation
Source text - English Endress+Hauser has been successful in supplying the majority of the process instrumentation to the Western Corridor Recycled Water Project, in South East Queensland (Australia), including highly specialized engineered solutions to monitor the water quality through the treatment processes.
As a global provider we support the processes of environmentally-friendly water treatment with first-class products and future-oriented services and solutions for over 50 years.
The Western Corridor Recycled Water Project is the largest recycled water project in Australia and the third largest recycled water project in the world. The initiative has attracted worldwide attention due to the sheer size of the project, its engineering complexity and the innovative technology implemented. In April 2008, the project won the Global Water Project of the Year Award from Global Water Intelligence beating competing projects from the US and Poland. In 2009 WCRW Stage 2 was named Global Water Reuse Project of the Year.
Preserve water resources Queensland is Australia’s second largest state and constitutes an area of strong economic and demographic growth. In addition, the State of Queensland suffered from the repeated effects of unprecedented drought. In July 2007, the water reservoirs guaranteeing nearly all the drinking water supply of the state’s South East urban area (2.5 million inhabitants) were only 17 % full.
In 2006, in light of this aggravated drought situation, the Queensland government realized the scale of the issue and carried out an active policy designed to save, preserve and diversify water resources, notably by encouraging the development of innovative technical solutions such as the recycling of treated wastewater. The idea of the Western Corridor Water Recycling
Scheme was born.
