Experience
Years of experience: 22. Registered at ProZ.com: Feb 2006.
I am a UK-based translator of Russian and German, editor and researcher.
I am an experienced and confident translator and have worked with a vast variety of complex material and technical registers, producing translations that have been commended for their accuracy and fluidity.
I have worked as translator and consultant linguist on historical programmes, documentaries and docu-dramas for the BBC and UK independent production companies Wark Clements, October Films and Darlow Smithson, as well as for the book A War in Words. I have also translated for a raft of international companies, including the consultancy Arthur D. Little, Duxford Aircraft Restoration Company, Piktogram (Germany/Poland), as well as for non-governmental organisations Amnesty International (UK), Soldiers’ Mothers St. Petersburg (Russia) and the East-West Women’s Network (Germany).
I hold a degree in Modern Languages from Oxford University and a Masters in Russian Studies from The School of Slavonic and East European Studies, UCL.
