III- Interpreting experience
For the past two years, I have also been regularly working with 3waytalk, an online platform offering online interpreting services to people on the move or with interests in foreign countries. I usually have to interpret for tourists trying to book a hotel abroad or for businesses trying to set up partnerships in foreign countries. I was one of the first interpreters to register on the platform and I am now one of their best members. They continuously hire new staff but their recruitment criteria (mainly a tough online interpreting test) are very rigorous and few are able to live up to the required level. Here are the details of the main PM working there:
IV- Teaching experience
In addition to my online translation and interpreting jobs, I am also a private teacher. Indeed, for 2 years, I collaborated with the Bordeaux Academy (the body in charge of schools in the Aquitaine region of France) on a project aimed at helping secondary school students overcome their difficulties in English, French and Spanish. Concretely, we had to address all the issues facing students in those languages, using a platform that was set up for this purpose. We would regularly help students out with their homework and class presentations and their level improved a lot as a result.
