English to Portuguese: Isaac Bashevis Singer's Yentl (play) General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Source text - English ANSHEL (To the audience.) – Hello! My name is Anshel! I'm a Yeshiva student. I study the Torah, the Mishnah, the Gemara, all the Holy Books, which contain answers for everything! I also study the Cabala. From the Cabala one can learn to create doves and flowers out of thin air. Would you believe me if I told you that there are things in life stranger and more wonderful than that? Things for which even the most learned rabbis have no answers? Such a thing I will reveal to you now. It's a story about the mystery of appearances, the deceptions of the heart and the divine androgyny of the soul! This is the village of Yanev. It looks like an ordinary little village. However, in Yanev there lived a girl by the name of Yentl. Yentl was very, very bright. For a girl. There are exceptions, you know. If ever there was a case of someone whose brains got her into big trouble, that would be Yentl.
Translation - Portuguese ANSHEL (Para a plateia.)

Bio
Brazilian translator eager to work. I'm self-taught in English, yes! And since I learned it myself, I'm passionate about languages in general and the way they work in our society.
My passion for words comes from my childhood and the songs I listened to. Every word has a power within and I intend to concentrate this power as much as I can when I translate.
Subtitling TV shows and localizing games and apps are my expertise now. But I'm open to any areas I might learn from and work with.
Cheers!
