English to Creoles & Pidgins (French-based Other): Edward the Emu General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English *Edward the emu was sick of the zoo, There was nowhere to go, there was nothing to do, And compared to the seals that lived right next door, Well being an emu was frankly a bore.
*So that night when the zookeeper went home to bed, Edward jumped from his pen and he laughed as he said, “The seals are best, anybody can tell, So tomorrow I’ll just be a seal as well.”
*The next morning at nine when they opened the zoo, The seals were swimming and Edward was too. He dived in the water and basked in the sun, And he balanced a ball on his beak just for fun.
*Well Edward was really enjoying the day, Till he overheard someone behind the fence say, “The seals are always amusing, it’s true, But the lion’s the best thing to see at the zoo.”

English to French: VIDEO SUBTITLING - 32 Hours: The Church In Haiti General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Religion
Source text - English People need food and water and shelter and medical attention
and we want to be able to allocate some resources to help
those organizations that are doing it well, particularly
those that are doing it well in the name of Jesus,
but we also wanted to go to Haiti to meet the Christians,
to see the churches, to get the stories,
and to figure out how we might be able to,
in some small way, contribute as
much as we can to help churches that are devastated.
Because people also need Jesus and they need Jesus' people,
particularly in times of tragedy and crisis.
And so, on Friday we launched Churches Helping Churches.
I prerecorded the sermon that played back
at Mars Hill on Sunday.
I still needed my passport.
I was renewing my passport, waiting for it to return.
It showed up first thing Saturday morning,
just in time for the flight.
I celebrated my son Gideon's 4th birthday.

English to French: Guaranteed interest Account - Compte à intérêt garanti General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Insurance
Source text - English 3) INVESTMENT OPTIONS
a) Daily Interest Account ("DIA")
The DIA features a fluctuating interest rate which changes to reflect current money market trends. The effective annual interest rate is compounded daily and credited to the DIA each time a transaction in the DIA occurs (at least once per month). The Account Value of the DIA at any time is the sum of the premiums, transfers in and interest credited to the DIA less all amounts transferred out or withdrawn from the DIA.
b) Guaranteed Deposit Accounts (“GDAs”)
The GDA is a guaranteed compound interest account offering a choice of investment terms ranging from 12 to 120 months. Each premium is treated as a separate investment with its own interest rate and investment term. The effective date of a GDA is the date of investment and the investment term is measured from this date. The investment term of a GDA shall end on the date of the month corresponding to the Effective Date. Interest is accrued at the guaranteed interest rate for the period from the effective date of the GDA to the end of the investment term.
The maturity value of the GDA will be reinvested at the end of the investment term for the same term as the maturing deposit at the then prevailing interest rate as determined by the Company, unless you elect otherwise. The investment term of a GDA will not exceed the Maturity Date of the Contract.
In the event the term of the reinvestment goes beyond the Maturity Date of the Contract, the term of the reinvestment will equal the length of time remaining to the Maturity Date of the Contract. If the Maturity Date of the Contract at that point in time is less than 12 months, the maturity value of the GDA will be transferred to the DIA. The maturity value of a GDA is the amount deposited, less any amounts withdrawn or transferred out, plus accrued interest to the maturity date of that deposit.
After a cash withdrawal or transfer, the amount remaining in the GDA must not be less than $500. If the amount is less than $500, the Company reserves the right to transfer the amount to the DIA.
The Account Value of a GDA is the premium amount deposited or transferred in, less any amounts withdrawn or transferred out, plus accrued interest.
Translation - French 3) OPTIONS DE PLACEMENT OFFERTES
a) Compte à intérêt quotidien (CIQ) :
