I am an armed forces retired major general engineer. I have a certificate for teaching English as a second Language from Cambridge University (COTE). I have diversified work experience through my active duty: an electronic engineer, a teacher of English as a second language for special purposes, a translator, a planner, a supervisor, a deputy commandant of the Ministry of Defense Language Institute, an iso-rated educational institution in Cairo, Egypt. Working at this institute for more than 20 years exposed me to different fields of translation. After my retirement, I worked for an American Company executing some software projects with governmental organizations in Egypt as a trainer / curriculum developer / translator. After the projects were completed, I worked as contracts & translation consultant for one of the leading companies in the field of urban development, constructions, and touristic projects. In the time being, I am a freelancer. I have been an external translator to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) since 2011. |
