thanks for the warning. I received an e-mail entitled "Happy New Year" this afternoon with the attachment "postcard.exe". I deleted it as a matter of course, but only after hestitation as its my birthday tomorrow so I receive more mails from unknown senders than usual. According to Norton, this was w32.mixor.q.

For no apparent reason, I have recently received lots of e-mails dated Sept '06 from people with names like 'Azeineldine', 'Ghys', or 'Hera'! They contain an attachment and the password code: 'I love you'. They have been duly deleted.
Probably not the same problem, though. In any event, Happy New Year! And, Happy Birthday for tomorrow, Gillian!
