Kudoz toolbar has been VERY useful to me, indeed. Unfortunately, three different antyspyware programs detected spyware in it (cram toolbar). That had not happened during the first couple of months, so I put "disregard" or "allow".
However, since my PC system was becoming slower and more & more unstable, I uninstalled the toolbar, cleaned it up, and installed the new version, following Colin´s advice in another forum ( http://www.proz.com/topic/38433 ).
As a search engine, it seems to work OK now, but it`s too early for judgements yet.
However, behind the "Kudoz search" and "ask a question" signs, you can see all kind of things, from desktop icons to words from old searchs to anything you might have written the day before, including words in WORD (if it`s open) or emails (if OE is open), that mix with those sign words in some kind of crazy puzzle.
It really bothers and hurts my eyes. Does it happen to anybody else?
Can anybody fix it? Does anybody care, besides me?
Thanks

Hi Colin,
I have a brand new PC now and Windows XP. However, both versions of the toolbar, the old one and the new one are detected by antispyware engines as CRAM TOOLBAR and ranked as Very Dangerous. In fact, the system has become very unstable and troublesome.
I am sorry to say that I finally had to uninstall Kudoz toolbar.
I know that other colleagues have been also complaining about that in other threads.

What I do now is to install it every time I have a long project and uninstall it right after I finish. The toolbar is very useful. Can`t it be fixed somehow?
Please?
Thank you.
