Salve a tutti.
Ho sentito spesso parlare di collaborazioni (ovviamente a titolo gratuito) con traduttori già avviati per i quali i meno esperti possono svolgere lavori di traduzione minori o standard e ottenere una revisione (non saprei dire se gratuita o retribuita) per imparare di più, sempre e di continuo, com'è giusto che sia, e poter far decollare una volta e per tutte questa carriera. Ho sentito spesso parlare di collaborazioni (ovviamente a titolo gratuito) con traduttori già avviati per i quali i meno esperti possono svolgere lavori di traduzione minori o standard e ottenere una revisione (non saprei dire se gratuita o retribuita) per imparare di più, sempre e di continuo, com'è giusto che sia, e poter far decollare una volta e per tutte questa carriera. Che ne pensate? Secondo voi è possibile trovare colleghi disposti a venirci incontro in questo modo? So anche che Proz mette a disposizione un Mentoring Program. Qualcuno di voi che abbia avuto esperienza in tal senso?
E dunque, secondo voi, è possibile affermarsi come traduttori collaborando con altri traduttori?

When I started translating (many moons ago), I was advised to apply exactly the same rate as my more experienced colleagues but having all my work revised. So, I did. When I started translating (many moons ago), I was advised to apply exactly the same rate as my more experienced colleagues but having all my work revised. So, I did. The difference between what a junior translator would charge and what I was charging allowed me to pay my reviser. Many years went by and nowadays I still have an arrangement with a trusted colleague where we proofread each other's work. We know each other quite well and we both respect each other’s work.
