I'm trying to translate a file in Powerpoint using T-windows for powerpoint (Trados 6.5). However, when I try to open a segment I get an error message saying that this font is not available. Nevertheless, when I paste individual slides on new ones, the segment opens. Any cues?

Actually, I haven't thought of it before, I do not know if it ends up yeilding the same layout of the presentation. Have you yourself used it before?

The only thing I had to live with is the reverse direction of cursor movement within Arabic text when using the arrow keys (but that's normal with TagEditor regardless of the file format you're working on). The other minor nuisance was actaully irrelevant to the translation tool. The lines of text in some of the blocks were seperated with carriage returns, so I had to go into the target presentation and reorder them to match Arabic context. Oh, and I had to flip the direction of text blocks to R2L of course. A matter of minutes. Otherwise, the output was an exact replicate of the original, even curved text. ▲ Collapse
