I'm a translator from Spanish into English with 14 years of experience and a lifelong interest in languages and cultures.

My work today focuses largely on law, business and international affairs, though I've dealt with a number of other specialized fields and topics as well.

I hold a master’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College, which included a year of study and cultural immersion in Madrid, Spain.

As an undergraduate at the University of Kentucky, I successfully pursued three majors (Spanish, English and international economics) and spent a semester abroad in Toledo, Spain.

Prior to my career as a translator, I worked for several years in accounting, which has proven useful in translating financial statements, annual reports and general business correspondence.

Other interests of mine include film, literature and music. I’ve amassed a vast collection of movies, books and records and actively seek out criticism and commentary in these areas to learn more and make new discoveries.

As a self-taught pianist, I find a creative outlet in improvisation and composition.
