English to Spanish: Trip to Paris General field: Marketing Detailed field: Tourism & Travel
Source text - English Breakfast. Free day. You can optionally visit the Palace of Versailles and its gardens, which although started by Louis XIII, who wanted to create a palace like no other was Louis XIV, who embellished and expanded the original building, ordering the construction, among other rooms, of the Hall of Mirrors, undoubtedly the most impressive room, which served for the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Also noteworthy are the chapel, the halls of Peace and War and the rooms of the king and the Queen's Chamber, which is preserved as Marie Antoinette left it when she left the palace in 1789. It was a symbol of the French monarchy in its splendor and the model for royal residences throughout Europe. In the afternoon, in another optional visit you will visit with our local guide the famous Latin Quarter, center of Parisian intellectual life and scene of the revolution of May 68, then we will visit the interior of the Cathedral of Nôtre Dame, another of the symbols of Paris, masterpiece of French Gothic art, place of coronation of kings and emperors, which served as inspiration for great literary works such as "The Hunchback of Nôtre Dame" by Victor Hugo and, finally, you can see Paris from another point of view by taking a relaxing ride in Bateau Mouche on the Seine.
Translation - Spanish Desayuno.

Bio
I am an English/Portuguese to Spanish translator and I would like to tell you a little about myself:
I became interested in languages as soon as I learned to read in Spanish, my native language. I started learning the English language in elementary school, and it was always one of my favorite subjects along with Spanish and literature. I learned French in high school and later on, I learned Portuguese in college. I pursued my bachelor's degree in Iberoamerican literature, and I completed it with a translation of a Brazilian novel from Portuguese to Spanish. It was at that moment that I knew I wanted to make a living from translation.
My first job was in a translation agency, where I worked for almost five years. During this time, I gained experience translating over 200 pharmaceutical and legal documents from English to Spanish, as well as several marketing, financial, and tourism texts. Additionally, I translated various press releases and marketing campaigns from Portuguese to Spanish. Starting as a junior translator, I learned how to create glossaries, work according to clients' preferences, edit documents, conduct research for different contexts using reliable sources, and maintain a strong focus on quality in all my translations. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of various industries and terminologies, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translations.
As I progressed to a senior role, I proofread and provided feedback to junior translators, allowing me to share my experience and knowledge. I also managed teams of translators and conducted a document editing workshop that I designed myself.
After leaving the agency, I pursued a master's degree in applied linguistics with a focus on translation.. During this program, I gained a deeper understanding of the complexity of texts, the importance of context, terminology management, and translation theory and techniques that allowed me to produce translations that fulfill their communicative function in the target audience. For my dissertation, I analyzed commercial contracts, specifically focusing on the nominalizations within them.
In addition to my translation skills, I am proficient in the use of translation tools and software, which help streamline the translation process and ensure consistency across projects. I am always open to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies to enhance my translation workflow.
As a freelance translator, I take great pride in my attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality translations. I am dedicated to conveying the intended message with precision while maintaining the tone and style of the source text. I am also aware of the importance of meeting deadlines and understand the value of timely delivery.
I believe effective communication and collaboration are key to successful translation projects. I am always ready to engage in open and proactive communication with clients to ensure that their specific requirements and preferences are met.
I am passionate about what I do, and I strive for excellence in every project I undertake.
