I am a certified freelance Hebrew-English and French-English translator based in Tel Aviv, Israel. I also work in editing and proofreading English-language texts. I completed my studies in translation at Beit Berl College in 2019, earning a diploma in English-Hebrew translation.

Background

A native English-speaking American, I was raised in the United States until the age of twelve, when my father began working abroad. My experience travelling and living overseas as a child and young adult, learning different languages and becoming immersed in different cultures, shaped the way I think about language and communication and ultimately led to my passion for translation.

In 2009 I moved to Israel. I became fluent in Hebrew and fully immersed myself in local culture.

In 2018, I decided to take the plunge and turn my passion for languages into a career in translation. I began working as a freelance translator in the local theater scene, which I was already involved in, and simultaneously began my studies in translation at Beit Berl College. In 2019, I completed my studies and earned a diploma in English-Hebrew translation. 

I have been very active over the last two years and have amassed significant experience translating in the theater and arts sector here in my adopted hometown of Tel Aviv. In addition to subtitles for theater and film, I have experience translating websites, articles, marketing materials, brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials, grant proposals and other formal communications.
