I couldn’t say I was disappointed, but I was definitely starting to realize that I had the wrong idea of wizards. In fact, my uncle seemed to be the only wizard-like person I had met so far, and that disturbed me more than I would admit. It was one thing to meet wizards on this insane world, where I had already met fairies, stepped in transformative shit, and was spied on by bats with eyeballs for faces.
It was a completely different matter when the wizard was my relative. It was just a little too real. I waved my hand at my bird foot. “I don’t want this. I also have a tail, and I don’t want a tail either.”
Wiz smiled. “No problem,” He reached into a pocket of his tweed coat and pulled out a pinch of black powder. “Here.”
I leaned forward to see this marvel, and he blew it in my face.
Pepper.
I sneezed. Repeatedly. When I recovered, I realized my foot was now normal. I felt my backside, and there was a distinct absence of tail. I gave Figstik a glare. “You couldn’t have done that?” I asked.
Figstik gave me a sheepish look in return.
“Special magic pepper,” Wiz said. “He wouldn’t have been able to help.” A propeller cap had suddenly came into existence on his head. He removed it and handed it to Sweetie, who shoved it into the bag to join its brothers.

Me incliné hacia delante para ver aquella maravilla, y me la sopló en la cara.

Estornudé. Repetidamente. Cuando me recuperé, me di cuenta de que mi pie ya estaba normal. Me toqué el trasero, y se apreciaba una distintiva ausencia de cola. Fulminé a Figstik con la mirada.
-¿No podías haber hecho eso tú mismo?-pregunté.
Figstik me dirigió una mirada avergonzada en respuesta.

US indices finished higher yesterday after an upbeat June jobs report. The Dow Jones rose by 0.54%, the S&P 500 by 0.55%, and the NASDAQ added 0.63% to its value. Technically, according to the daily chart, as long as the S&P 500 is holding above the Moving Averages 10 it is expected to rise to around 2,000 points. However, the RSI indicator is forming an overbought area which points to a necessary correction to around 1,950. Today, US stocks market is closed for Independence Day.
British Pound (GBP)
The Pound fell slightly against the US Dollar as Services PMI published worse than expected with 57.7 vs. 58.1. Technically, the GBP/USD is holding above the support of 1.7000 and with a bullish momentum can be expected to rise towards 1.7200. As long as the RSI indicator remains above 70, there is a possibility that the currency might lose momentum and drop to the support level again.

I'm a freelance translator, spanish native speaker, who works with pairs EN>Es, Es>EN, Fr>Es. I'm a vocational linguist and so I decided to study English Philology(BA) and then a Masters degree on what has been called 'Community Interpreting' (these are ment to be interpreters that support minorities or collectives at risk of social exclusion, mainly inmigrants who cannot speak the local language and need help when dealing with the authorities, courts of justice, police or may be just having access to health care services).
After that I did work as an interpreter/translator at courts of justice and police stations, I also underwent a brief internship period at a local NGO and the Harbour's Authority, where I did translate, specialized documents related to the port's management, seamanship and navigation.
It was not until eight years ago that I decided to go freelance and things haven't been too bad since then. Beeing on your own is riskier and there are tough periods from time to time, but I wouldn't change the freedom and the quality of life that I enjoy being a freelancer. Since I've never been scared of hard word, this business model is the right one to me, even though I must work many more hours.
What do I do?
I'm specialized on academic texts, theses, articles mainly related to sciences, IT, anthropology or social sciences. I've recently discover that I love translating works of fiction, poetry, novels and drama. I've translated three works of fiction already, in the coming weeks I'll publish the links so you can see those books and, who knows, may be buy them, ;)
I do provide services of transcription, localisation, proofreading, editing, video editing and work with TRADOS and almost any software the client asks for.
I'm very keen on subtitling all sorts of audiovisuals and I always deliver work right on time.
