Bio

I am a passionate language lover and freelance translator with 10 years of translating experience. I am a native Italian speaker, living and working in Germany since 2008.

I specialize in medicine and pharmacology, two fields I am familiar with thanks to my long-lasting interest in life sciences. In 2015 I earned a certificate issued by the Translation and Interpreting School of Pescara (Italy) for an advanced course in medical translation with a final mark of 30/30 (=A+). In addition to that, I have been taking CPD-courses and webinars on a regular basis from the very beginning to keep myself always up-to-date and well-trained, as subject-matter expertise and accuracy are - especially in this field - absolutely critical.

Before I started my career as a freelancer, I have been translating for 8 years for two different companies: an advertising agency which worked exclusively for the tourist and travel industry and a design furniture manufacturer.  Thanks to these experiences I gained over the years significant experience in fields such as "marketing & advertising", "tourism & travels", "furniture and household appliances" too.

Here below you can find a list of the types of text I have been translating so far:

Medical / Pharmaceutical: ICFs, clinical trials, PIL, SmPCs, SOPs, labels, CTAs, clinical protocols, patient-facing / specialist-facing information brochures, scientific articles, questionnaires & surveys, training videos.

Marketing & advertising: product brochures, product descriptions, catalogs, PP presentations, questionnaires, market surveys, press releases, newsletters.

Technical texts: medical devices IFUs and product specifications.

Humanitarian aid: concept notes, project proposals and reports, safety instructions, healthcare information, and regulatory documents.

If you want to know more about me or contact me, please check my LinkedIn="https:> and Twitter="https:> pages or simply e-mail me at siber.translations@gmail.com.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards, Silvia
