Serbian to Czech: Bubašvaba – Marko Vidojković General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
– Koga?
Translation - Czech Co tu, vy kurvy, pohledáváte za bílého dne? – zeptal se pavouk.
– My... pane... víte.... já....
No to se na to podívejme!
English to Czech: (CD REVIEW) Nightwish – "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" General field: Other Detailed field: Music
Source text - English Opening with a brief spoken passage by evolutionary biologist and author Richard Dawkins, "Shudder Before the Beautiful" chugs forth, not so much with might but with a steady pulse and thick riffs to give Floor Jansen a rocking portal to gently work her way in. She doesn't assert herself more than she needs to, letting the instrumentation layer up and ultimately blossom with choral and string supplements. As NIGHTWISH's intent with "Shudder Before the Beautiful" is to point out the grandeur of the world around us, the song is beautifully structured and accented by Emppu Vuorinen's gorgeous guitar solo and Tuomas Holopainen's responsive key scales.
Translation - Czech Skladba „Shudder Before the Beautiful“ je otevřena mluvenou pasáží z úst evolučního biologa a vědeckého spisovatele Richarda Dawkinse, aby se následně rozduněla neutichajícím tepem a hřmotnými riffy, jež jsou vstupní branou pro pozvolný nástup Floor Jansen. Její hlas se zpočátku nedožaduje zbytečné pozornosti a nechává prostor nástupu hudebních nástrojů. Nakonec však rozkvétá květy sborového zpěvu a kytar. Cílem NIGHTWISH bylo poukázat v písni „Shudder Before the Beautiful“ na velkolepost světa kolem nás, na což také odkazuje její impozantní výstavba akcentovaná nádhernými kytarovými sóly Emppu Vuorinena a citlivými klávesovými stupnicemi Tuomase Holopainena.

Hello, my name is Filip and I am a translator-philologist. My areas of specialization are following: (e-)gaming, music, history, marketing, and business. Currently, my translation work is only a side job.
I am a student of Serbian philology at Charles University in Prague—the oldest and most prestigious university in the Czech Republic—and a holder of Certificate in Advanced English. I visit both Serbia and England regularly. Last year, for example, I represented my university at the International Meeting of Slavists in Belgrade.
Not only knowledge but also experience matters. Feel free to check my references!
Among my clients, you can find companies such as Akzo Nobel Coatings, FM Logistic, Stasanet or a non-profit organization People In Need. I used to cooperate with several translation agencies worldwide, of which three specialize on what I do the best—gaming-related translation and localization.
