I am priviledged to have been born in Montreal, a bilingual city, where I spoke English at home and French at school. During my undergraduate degree in Linguistics, I studied Spanish and Translation and enjoyed these so much I went on to complete an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, specializing in Terminology and Translation.
I started my career as an in-house Terminologist and Translator working from French into English. When I moved to Mexico, I became a teacher trainer; first teaching terminology and translation, then helping English teachers to perfect their language skills, by teaching the structure of the English language.
Over the years, I continued to work as a freelance terminologist, translator and editor, working from both French and Spanish into English. Now that I have had experience with a wide variety of English language contexts, I am in a positon to use the expertise developed over years of training to provide the highest quality product to my clients.
My main focus is terminology management, translation and localization. My areas of specialization are Life Sciences/ Medicine, Information Technology, Linguistics, and Education.
