    Do your webinars even work?Jan 23, 2012

I registered in the nick of time for this webinar, since everything you do seems to be geared for Europe only. I was glad to still be able to register but then all I got was an irrelevant email with 'useful links'. The most needed access link never arrived. If you can send an irrelevant email in no time, why can't you send the one I registered for? And if my registration wnet through, why did I not get to take part in the webinar?
Now unfortunately, I cannot say anything about your course.

Would like to know more about new technology in translation business and to speed up my work.Jan 23, 2012

Currently, most of the time, i do more interpretation than translation, but i would like to increase my translation work, so if this new technology will help me to work faster and more accurate, then i would like to learn about it and adopt it in the near future. Thanks for the opportunity.

Problem with registrants that attempted to register within 1 hour of start timeJan 23, 2012

Wolf, I am sorry that you were unable to join the webinar properly today. We had over 200 attend and have had 10,000 attendees over the years.

Wolf, I am sorry that you were unable to join the webinar properly today. We had over 200 attend and have had 10,000 attendees over the years.

We investigated the issue that you (and at least one other site member reported) and in our investigation discovered that Citrix (makers of GoToWebinar) have changed their process a little and are no longer sending email notifications for webinars that are scheduled to begin within 1 hour. Citrix instead simply redirects users to a "join webinar in progress". As our registration is handled behind the scenes via API, our members that attempted to register for the webinar between 14:00-15:00 GMT were shown a "registration successful, you will receive the link" message - but those messages were not sent out by Citrix.

We will make the corrections to our code and add a step to manually check registration 1 hour prior to a webinar start time.

You may watch the video at http://www.proz.com/videos/Free%20webinar%20week%20videos/1237

In the meantime, to ensure that you have proper access to any future free webinars, please be sure to register at least 1 hour prior to the webinar's scheduled start time. Never the less, I hope to have the proper "fix" to this bug in the next day or two.

    Regards,

    Drew
