There always must be a "first one" in anything. In time we will learn whether TP is keeping its promises.
Thank you for posting. :9 | | | Nikita Kobrin Lithuania Local time: 22:12 Member (2010) English to Russian + ... For Lithuania this system so far is useless | May 12, 2013 |
I have discovered that for some reason Lithuania is not among the countries supported by TranslatorPay. So for my country this system so far is useless unfortunately.

Have you asked them why not, when and if, they'll include your country?

Yes, but they haven't replied anything to my inquiry. Two months passed since it was sent.

Does anyone know if this works for Russia? It sounds like an interesting option. | | | traductorchile Chile Local time: 17:12 English to Spanish + ... TOPIC STARTER Not a good sign | May 13, 2013 |

Clearly that is not a good sign, because:
- Good support is essential when you are starting a business and trying to capture clients/users.
- The only favourable recommendation from a translator till now, somehow, seems to have been organised by translatorpay themselves. Although that might not be a deal breaker, it shows the wheel hasn't turned much yet. | | | Only as a destination | May 13, 2013 |

They claim to support Russia as a destination (and you, I guess, are interested in the opposite direction). But even for that, you cannot receive RUR, only USD. So much for "get paid in your local currency".
Also, I cannot enter my bank name on their site. It's kinda there in the list, but misspelled, and produces an error when selected. Granted, my bank is not the largest one, but this shouldn't happen.
Still, I'm willing to try this payment system. | |

Hi Nikita,
I chased up Translator Pay about your enquiry. It was indeed missed - and we are very sorry about that. Transfers into Lithuania should be available from sometime next week. Neil Hamlin, Translator Pay's CEO, has promised to write to you via email and let you know as soon as the service is up and running in Lithuania.
We are really sorry about missing your enquiry.
Best wishes

Nikita, hopefully you'll eventually come back and tell us how everything went.
Good luck.

| | | Good experiences with TP for a few months now | May 19, 2013 |
I've been using Translator Pay pretty much since it started, and most of my foreign clients have seen the benefit to them of paying no bank fees, and have made the switch accordingly. I'm now in my third or fourth month of billing using TP and all has gone pretty smoothly so far. I've always grouped my month's bills into a single statement at month-end to allow clients to make a single payment transfer, which is usually over the €250 threshold, so no charges are incurred at either end. | | | traductorchile Chile Local time: 17:12 English to Spanish + ... Martin,
Can you tell us from where you are billing from and from what countries your clients are from?
