The impact to the relatively small number of local stock owners and herders relates to the cumulative impact of the Project and assumes alternative land and water supply in the immediate area is not available for the individuals concerned to use for grazing purposes, and the establishment of temporary encampments/ mobile homes and stock corrals. Loss of livelihood would not result if alternative land and water is available as the temporary encampments/ mobile homes could relocate without loss of stock, and the same staffing levels would be required and therefore employees retained. In this case, a consultation process is required with the stakeholders concerned. It is however noted that the current farming practices are unsustainable and result in an adverse impact on the terrestrial ecology of the area.
