3. TermCheck against the respective MultiTerm / Transit / CROSSterm database
4. Readability and style check
5. On request: proofreading by a second translator (four-eye-principle, according to the European standard EN 15038:2006)
We are all university graduates with a BA in translating and interpreting and we each have a minimum ten-year experience in translating technical documents (that is about 6 million No Matches / translator so far). We come from a Romanian background, continue to live in Romania and keep a close contact with the Romanian language and its continuous changes.
We keep in touch with engineers and experts from different technical fields, industrial companies and plants, as well as professors from the local Technical University, so as to gain the necessary insight, when needed (sometimes even on-site, at the factory). At the beginning of a project we create a terminology, which is then consistently used throughout the whole translation via Multiterm / Termstar. Several resources are employed when setting up a terminology: electronic dictionaries, online specialised dictionaries, websites of other companies in the respective filed, specialised literature, Google research (including search for images of individual components) etc.
Since we are a team of several translators and reviewers, we can easily carry out even large orders (up to 20.000 No Matches / work day / language pair).
